Reno Bike Map — Interactive 2026
The Reno-Sparks metro has 484 miles of bike infrastructure — but the only map of it on the internet was a static 2021 PDF from RTC Washoe. This page replaces that PDF with an interactive, searchable, mobile-friendly map sourced from OpenStreetMap and updated by local cyclists in real time.
What's on the map
- Multi-use paths (~175 mi) — the Truckee River Bike Path, Sparks Marina Loop, Virginia Lake Trail, and every other car-free path in the area.
- Protected cycle tracks (~1 mi) — the small but growing network of physically separated on-road lanes.
- Painted bike lanes (~306 mi) — the workhorse of the network, on streets like Plumb, Mill, Wells, and South Virginia.
- Sharrows & signed routes (~3 mi) — shared lanes where a stripe wasn't feasible.
How to use this map
- Use the search box to jump to any street (e.g. Plumb, Mill, Truckee).
- Tap Filters to show or hide infrastructure types.
- Click any line for street name, length, surface, and lighting.
- The URL updates as you pan/zoom — copy and share to send a friend the exact view.
- Want the original? Download the 2021 RTC PDF.
Data & corrections
All bike infrastructure data comes from OpenStreetMap (Open Database License). If you spot a missing lane or a path that no longer exists, the best fix is to edit OSM directly — your fix shows up on this map after the next refresh, plus on every other OSM-based app (Komoot, Strava heatmap, Apple Maps, etc.). Otherwise email [email protected].
