What's Happening in Reno This Weekend (March 14-15, 2026)

By Ask Reno

It's Friday the 13th weekend in Reno — and the city is leaning into it. Between gothic pizza parties, a massive bowling tournament, norteño legends, and the pups from PAW Patrol, there's something for everyone this weekend.

Friday the 13th: 80s/Gothic Pizza Party + Tattoo-Palooza (Friday)

Noble Pie Parlor and Desert Rose Tattoo in Midtown are throwing a joint Friday the 13th celebration. All-day event from 11 AM to 10 PM with:

  • DJs spinning 80s and goth all afternoon (2–10 PM)
  • Tattoo and piercing specials at Desert Rose
  • Raffle prizes, clothing discounts, and themed pizza

This is the kind of weird, local energy that makes Midtown great. First come, first served for tattoos.

Los Tucanes de Tijuana — Grand Sierra Resort (Saturday)

PAW Patrol Live! — Pioneer Center (Saturday & Sunday)

The pups are in town! PAW Patrol Live! brings Ryder and the rescue squad to Pioneer Center for multiple shows across the weekend. If you've got kids under 8, this is the move.

Punk Rock Prom — The Potentialist Workshop (Saturday)

2026 USBC Open Championships — National Bowling Stadium (Ongoing)

The world's largest annual bowling tournament is happening right here in downtown Reno through July. Thousands of bowlers from across the country competing over 4 months. The National Bowling Stadium is worth a visit even if you're not bowling — 78 lanes, three floors, and a massive projection screen.

  • Summit Run Club Shakeout Run + Scavenger Hunt — The Roost, Sunday 8 AM. Wear green for St. Patrick's Day. Free.
  • 14th Annual Leprechaun Race 5K — Downtown Reno, Monday Mar 16. A Reno St. Paddy's tradition.

More This Weekend

  • Cardshow: Card & Collectibles Convention — Reno-Tahoe Convention Center, Fri-Sun. Sports cards, Pokemon, vintage collectibles.
  • The Tempest — Bruka Theatre (running through Mar 29). Shakespeare's final play in an intimate black box setting.
  • Cordillera Pre-Oscar Gala — Peppermill Resort, Saturday 5-9 PM. 10th annual celebration.
  • Club 90s: Heated Rivalry Night — Cargo Concert Hall, Friday 9 PM. 18+.

Our Picks

For families: PAW Patrol Live + Reno Aces Fan Fest makes for a great weekend.

For adults: Friday the 13th in Midtown (pizza + tattoos + goth DJs), then Los Tucanes de Tijuana on Saturday night.

For the active: Summit Run Club Sunday morning, then catch a Bruka Theatre show in the evening.

For the curious: Walk through the National Bowling Stadium and watch the USBC Championships — it's free to spectate and genuinely impressive.
